Last night I got to test out my new Canon 85mm f/1.8 with my great friend Joe. We literally shot for ten minutes and got these great images!

Difficult lighting proved a tricky job but I managed to get a few good shots that I'm proud of.

A shot of Jaleh that I took in 2010. We did a test shoot together to boost her portfolio, and mine, and I really liked this photograph. Her mood on it really captivates and emits the impression of a troubled mind.

A blast from the past, a shoot from 2010 with the band Time To Leave. We shot this around the Wakefield area and the day wasn't great weather wise. We still got some really moody shots though. Great guys!

LEEDS EXPLORE: PT I
Today I visited my good friend Chris who lives in Leeds and we both went exploring the abandoned relics that still stood in the outskirts of the city.
We started with a visit to the abandoned village in Adel, but sadly upon arrival we found that it wasn't much abandoned anymore and the area had been turned into a building site to make way for new homes. So we took a few pictures of the outside of the buildings left standing and made our way out of the area.
Pulling into a lay-by we searched the net and found that there was an abandoned hospital located in Cookridge that looked too good to pass up, and it wasn't far from Adel. Perfect!
After searching for a good while we finally found it and went into the grounds! The place had a really eerie feel to it. We scoured the area for access to the inside of the building but couldn't gain entry. So we made do with the exterior and we got some great images. THIS STATE OF OURS - Summer 2013

It was so hot that day and everyone was sweating profusely to say the least. We were on a time constraint but we cracked on and got some good shots for the band to use.

REVERBED - 'UNCOMMONWEALTH' - VIDEO AND PHOTOSHOOT.

So a few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to shoot my first two music videos with two great bands; the first being with a band named Terrestrial, who I shall be posting more about over the coming days, and the second was with Reverbed, a great band from doncaster who have been regular customers for my photo services over the past few years.
We shot on location in an empty swimming pool, and wanted to keep the video to performance only shots. Everything was pretty much ready to go as soon as I arrived, the lighting already set up, the equipment arranged accordingly.
Before starting to get the video footage we decided to do some photos that could be launched alongside the video and display the bands new and more formal looking image.
The whole day went smoothly and many cups of coffee and 4 sweaty band members later (and a sweaty Dom) we wrapped up and backed up the footage onto a laptop. Then I was away to upload the footage on my computer and spend many hours choosing the clips I wanted to use.
Below is the final video and a promo shot of the band. I hope you enjoy it! Make sure you watch the video in 1080p to get the best quality everything!

A great shoot in a burnt out Ski Village on the outskirts of Sheffield city. It was windy as we were so high up but we created some great atmosphere and mood with the environment and the lighting. Check them out here.
